Web Based CRM Vs Outlook Based CRM

There are many CRM modules available some of which are Outlook based CRM, Open Source CRM, Industry Solutions CRM, web based crm software and Mobile solutions CRM. Though all CRM packages mainly concentrate on enhancing the customer relationship, each module has distinct features and its own advantages. Web based CRM is generally suitable for users who have a high speed internet connection as the package can be accessed only through an internet connection. Since web based CRM is an online based technology, it doesn’t require any installation from the user side. Web based CRM is also maintained by the service provider who takes care of tasks like daily backup of data and protecting the software from corruption by regularly updating the antivirus software and related patches. Outlook based CRM offers almost all the features as that of Web based CRM and some additional features. In outlook based CRM, the user need not be connected to the internet all time. To start using the outlook based CRM, users have to do small setups in their system unlike web based CRM where no initial setup is required. If users prefer the availability of their data offline also, then web based CRM will not be of help to them. Depending on their requirement and affordability of using data either online or offline, users can choose either web based CRM or Outlook based CRM.
