Permanent hair straightening is possible by the use of suitable chemicals which are referred to as relaxers by the hair stylists. These chemicals would remove all types of curls but only an experienced hair styling professional could decide which chemical would be suitable for a particular type of hair. The new hair that grows on the head would be with curls and so a chemical treatment may be necessary once in six months. The professional would take into account the texture of the hair to decide whether the hair needs the use of mild chemicals or strong chemicals. The prominent chemical treatments are the Japanese method and the Brazilian method. The new hair straightener can be useful for both men and women who wish to loose curly hair. Today straight hair is possible for any person thanks to the introduction of Chi straightener with ceramic plates. This wonderful tool consumes only twenty to twenty five watts and so there is no danger of the hair getting damaged due to excessive heat. The heat can be set at an appropriate level and the ceramic plates would pass through the hair gently. After using the iron a styling gel must be applied to the hair to keep it straight.
